Yes, now there is, and that’s where the iM comes in. The biggest difference between the Corolla and the Corolla iM is that the iM is a hatchback and the regular Corolla is a sedan. It steals its name from the Scion iM, which fell out of production with the 2016 model year.

There is currently only one Corolla iM model available and its MSRP starts at $18,750. The Corolla on the other hand has an MSRP that starts at $18,500, but with seven available models, there are a lot more features and options to choose. Though the iM is slightly more expensive, the top of the line Corolla XSE has a starting price higher than the iM at $22,680.

What’s the same between the Corolla and the Corolla iM?

Though there are a lot of differences, there’s also a lot the stays the same between the two models. Both vehicles utilize the same 1.8-liter engine, and with similar weights, they both achieve the same fuel economy with 28 mpg in the city and 36 mpg out on the highway. Both vehicles also have similar transmission options. The Corolla iM comes standard with a 6-speed manual but also has an optional CVT transmission. Though most Corolla models feature a CVT transmission, the Corolla SE model comes standard with the same iM 6-Speed manual.
