2018 Toyota Camry Model Overview

2018 Toyota Camry

Beyond An Upgrade

The Toyota Camry has been the best-selling car in America for the past 15 years, but it's far from complacent. This new generation Camry has gone through a complete overhaul. While the sedan will still maintain its proven dependability and safety, it now possesses a much more exciting and passionate character due to its newfound sporty performance and style.

This upgraded Camry utilizes Toyota New Global Architecture, or TNGA, which is an entirely new design, engineering, and packaging strategy put in place by the company. While still upholding the traditional company values, TNGA will incorporate a fun and thrilling driving experience that plays on all senses. A new engine, transmission, and GA-K platform has transformed the Camry into something beyond extraordinary.

New Exterior With A New Attitude

The new 2018 Camry has a much sleeker profile than the previous models. The hip points and seating positions have been lowered 1 inch in the front and 1.2 inches in the rear. This has allowed for the overall vehicle height to be nearly 1 inch lower without sacrificing any interior space. Of course, this has led to an improvement in the vehicle's aerodynamics. The lower center of gravity not only creates a better driving experience, but also a much more aggressive looking sedan.

There will be four grades of the new Camry available: LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. The SE and XSE are the "Sport" grades of the sedan and feature a noticeably different body style than the LE and XLE grades. The SE and XSE models have a sculpted rocker panel, 19-inch black machined-finish alloy wheels (XSE only) a subtle rear spoiler lip, aggressive front bumper, and rear bumper with an integrated lower diffuser. Those upgrades, along with a revised front containing an expressive mesh grille, distinctive corner lines on the rear bumper, and smoke-tinted lamps, make the Sport Camry a work of art.

Intelligent And Spacious Cabin Design

The 2018 Camry interior has been fully redesigned. The cabin is functional, stylish, and holds a high degree of personal space and craftsmanship. The operator is seated in a cockpit-style arrangement with all gauges and essential displays angled towards his or her direction. The front passenger is positioned in an open and free area of space thanks to improvements to the vehicles dashboard design. The cabin was created with a driver-focused concept that shines through in a waterfall-like flow from the dash instruments down to the center console. This creates both a look that pleasing to the eye and functionality that allows the driver to remain focused on what lies ahead.
