25th Annual Greensburg Turkey Trot

WHEN: Thursday, November 24 at 9 a.m. WHERE: Westmoreland County Courthouse in Greensburg, PA Burn a few extra calories before Thanksgiving dinner this year and join in the fun at the 25th Annual Greensburg Turkey Trot. A scenic 5K run/walk, the Annual Greensburg Turkey Trot promises to be fun for all ages and all skill levels. Racers can record their times with a disposable timing chip and the top racers in each division will receive awards. Those racers who register early for this Thanksgiving event will receive a commemorative event T-shirt.

25th Annual Greensburg Holiday Parade

WHEN: Saturday, November 19 at Noon WHERE: North Main St. to City Hall in Greensburg PA Few things signal the arrival of Thanksgiving, Christmas and the holiday season like a festive holiday parade. Join in the holiday fun at the 25th Annual Greensburg Holiday Parade this year. Parade floats clad in Christmas colors go hand in hand with Thanksgiving-themed floats and Santa Claus at the annual holiday procession. The parade will begin on North Main St. and will continue through town to City Hall.

Light Up Night Parade

WHEN: Thursday, November 17 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. WHERE: Downtown Irwin in Irwin, PA Celebrate the arrival of the holiday season at the Light Up Night Parade in Irwin, PA. Festivities include holiday choirs, orchestra performances, dance entertainment and the lighting of the town Christmas tree. Following the festivities, family and friends will be able to enjoy the annual parade through downtown with Christmas music, bright-colored floats, brilliant Christmas light displays and much more.

Taking Steps Against Breast Cancer

About the Annual Pink Ribbon Walk Toyota of Greensburg is delighted to partner with Westmoreland Walks Inc. and donate over $18,000 to the 2018 Pink Ribbon Walk, which will be held on October 6 at Twin Lakes Park. The Pink Ribbon Walk takes place annually to benefit the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, the Pink Ribbon Scholarship, and the Pink Angel Fund, which helps families who are dealing with the hardships that come along with breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds will also go to the Spa Serenity Day, where survivors in Westmoreland County enjoy a full day of spa services, education and lunch. Stand in support of those in your community affected by breast cancer by registering for the walk online. You can join a team, and even receive a t-shirt. Last year, more than 400 participants took steps against breast cancer. We hope to see another inspiring show of resiliency and love this year. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Toyota of Greensburg is proud to donate and support this year’s Westmoreland Annual Walk. We’re honored and excited to contribute to such a great cause. The 16th annual walk was held at Twin Lakes Park Pavilion on Saturday, October 7, 2017. Walkers were welcomed to participate individually or with a team to help raise awareness. The turnout for this event was fantastic. Numerous breast cancer survivors along with their supporters joined together to help make the walk a huge success. more A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition. Proceeds will also benefit the Westmoreland Walks Inc. Pink Ribbon Scholarship along with the Spa Serenity Day — a day provided for a group of Westmoreland County breast cancer survivors to enjoy a full day of spa services, education, lunch and much more at no cost. Additionally, this event will benefit the Pink Angel Fund — a fund established to help families experiencing hardships due to breast cancer. With 1 in 8 women being diagnosed with breast cancer, together we can help make a difference.
