What’s Under the Hood of the 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo?

The fourth generation of the famed Toyota Supra, the 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo packs a punch. Powered by a sequential twin-turbo 3.0-liter DOHC 24-valve straight-six, even the stock model would hammer out an awe-inspiring 320 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. What made the Toyota Supra Turbo so exciting for drivers who yearned for mind-blowing speed was the ability to customize the Toyota missile. With performance parts incorporated into the Toyota Supra powertrain, power numbers would easily push 500 horsepower.

A quick and sporty machine, the Toyota Supra Turbo easily surpassed elite competitors in head-to-head races. With the ability to launch from zero to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds — faster than the Acura NSX, Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo and Porsche 928GT of the same era — the Supra Turbo is a thrill. Stock Supra Turbo models featured an electronically limited top speed that still reached an incredible 155 mph and is coupled with lightweight components and unrivaled aerodynamics.
